Schools Policy

Creative Learning
Schools come to the Theatre Royal Plymouth either to SEE something or DO something.

We understand that education, the national curriculum, and the qualifications young people can work towards are ever evolving. We understand that every school has their own focus on how they approach aspects of formal teaching and learning.

We provide a flexible but structured programme, acknowledging a balance between what our partners need, and what we can deliver.

In order to frame the way in which our work is delivered and supported, we have divided our work with and for Formal Education settings into five parts. You can download these parts as individual pdf's below.

The Theatre Royal Plymouth's internal operations for working with formal education settings has been discussed at a Senior Management level and has four parts to it. These parts are classified as: Live Performance, Marketing, Customer Services and Creative Learning.

We have just completed some consultation around how we would like to work with teachers and schools in the future and consequently we are currently reviewing our schools offer. Please do keep popping back to learn more as our new Schools Policy unfolds.
