The Theatre Royal Plymouth is about to embark on a large scale community project inspired by the paintings of Beryl Cook, Plymouth’s most famous and influential contemporary artist, and is looking for your help to find the best stories about nights out in the city. Beryl Cook not only painted the people of Plymouth but managed to capture the life, the heart and the unique spirit of the city. The writer and director of the project is Nick Stimson, who has worked with the Theatre Royal Plymouth previously with NHS The Musical, Union Street and Korczak. Come and share your stories (or those of others) of nights out in Plymouth - the funny, the daft, the sad and bizarre. Fragments of stories, things you’ve seen or heard about, characters, events, anything truly Plymothian. All you need do is simply turn up at The Dolphin pub, The Barbican, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 2LS (12 noon–3pm). Alternatively you can submit your story anonymously online, through www.theatreroyal.com/berylcook
