A Drum Theatre co-production has proved such a success, its run in London’s Royal Court Theatre has been extended. Love, Love, Love, originally a co-production with Paines Plough, premiered in the Drum Theatre in October 2010 before embarking on a 14 week tour. The play will now run at the Royal Court until 9 June and is already completely sold out. Originally commissioned by the Drum Theatre, Love, Love, Love won the Theatre Awards UK Best New Play and is written by Mike Bartlett who currently has another hit on his hands with his adaptation of Chariots of Fire, running at the Hampstead Theatre before moving to the West End. Love, Love, Love has won universal praise with Quentin Letts of the Daily Mail saying “Throughout, the acting is top notch, the pace of James Grieve’s direction just right” and Charles Spencer of the Telegraph describing it as a “hard-hitting success.” |
