It’s that time of year again – and this year we’re ready to celebrate like never before! After bringing back theatre with a bang this year, our 2021 festive season is set to be bigger and better than ever.

So, jingle those bells, rock around that Christmas tree, and get ready to celebrate Christmas with our line up of fantastic festive shows!

Our Christmas programme will kick off on Saturday 27 November with a show for all the family: Eric & Ern at Christmas. A brilliant homage crammed full with Morecambe & Wise’s most loved routines, songs and sketches and, of course, a musical guest. This is the perfect show if you’re looking for an evening of fun, laughter and nostalgia.

Family favourites ‘Stuff and Nonsense’ are returning to The Drum on Wednesday 1 December with their latest production, The Man Who Wanted to be a Penguin. This is the story of an extraordinary explorer, a curious conjurer and pioneering problem-solver. He is learning to speak Penguin and hopes that you will too!

On Sunday 5 December, for one night only, we welcome the That’ll Be The Day Christmas Show 2021 to The Lyric. Refreshed every year, the show combines the best pop Christmas classics and traditional Christmas songs with hilarious comedy routines. This is the perfect show to get you in the Christmas mood!

On Tuesday 7 December, a brand-new production of Irving Berlin’s classic musical, White Christmas, will light up The Lyric. A tale of love and friendship, this toe-tapping musical features the dazzling songs Blue Skies, Sisters and the most famous festive song of all, White Christmas.

Looking for something a bit different? On Monday 13 December, Gonzo Moose are back with a comedy adventure packed full of hilarious slapstick, verbal wit, live music and a sensational death-defying finale. Grimm and Grimmer will be in The Drum until Christmas Eve, making it the perfect choice for your pre-Christmas celebrations.

From Friday 17 December until Saturday 15 January, panto returns to Plymouth! Starring Joe Pasquale as Wishee Washee, Aladdin features laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses.

Join veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis as fuelled by love, the all-singing, all-dancing duo follow the stunning Haynes Sisters, Betty & Judy to a Vermont lodge for a special Christmas show. Their journey takes a misstep, and their rhythm is thrown off when they discover the lodge happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s old Army General and is in desperate need of their help.
