Thank you for taking a moment to review what the TRP team have put in place to keep you safe and to ensure you and your family and friends have a great visit.

All the information listed below is correct but may change as the UK Government release further updates. So, if your visit is not for a while, we suggest a quick check with our website before you travel, and a review of your contact details to make sure they are up to date.

We look forward to welcoming you back for new memories and new experiences, as we continue once again, to bring world-class theatre to the South West.

Your Safety

Our teams have been rigorously trained to support you during your visit, and to ensure our theatre is Covid-safe – please listen to them and follow their guidance.

Face coverings remain compulsory in most public indoor settings, including theatres, until Wednesday 26th January. Please wear your face covering upon entering the theatre, and then keep it on whilst moving in the building and when seated in the auditorium.

If you are exempt from wearing a face covering it would help our front of house staff and fellow audience members if you wear an exemption lanyard, badge or show a card.

Children under 11 years of age do not have to wear a face covering.

We will not be asking you to prove your Covid-Status. However, our safety measures are under constant review and may change at short notice. Please check your emails and this web page for the latest information before your visit.

From Thursday 27th January face coverings will no longer be mandatory, however we recommend that you continue to wear one when coming into and moving around the theatre.

We have been awarded the use of Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely‘ mark. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.

  • Enhanced hygiene procedures are in place which include thorough cleans between performances and deep cleanse fogging of all areas on a regular basis.
  • We have increased the circulation of fresh air throughout the building so it might be cooler than you are used to. You may want to bring an extra layer, just in case.
  • Hand sanitising stations are positioned throughout the public spaces for audience members to use and we ask that you do so frequently.

Please do not attend the theatre if you:

  • You are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19 and been instructed to self-isolate. You must self-isolate from the day your symptoms started, or from the day your test was taken if you do not have symptoms. You can end your self-isolation and attend performances on the sixth day of self-isolation following 5 full days isolating and 2 negative rapid lateral flow test tests taken on consecutive days. The first rapid lateral flow test should not be taken before the fifth day.
  • You’ve been in contact with anyone who has displayed Covid-19 symptoms in the last 10 days and are not fully vaccinated
  • You’ve arrived into the UK in the last 10 days and are not covered by the self-isolation exemption rules

If you have the official NHS Test & Trace app installed on your mobile phone, you are welcome to check in by scanning the QR code upon arrival, but this is no longer mandator. Copies of this QR code will be available through our Front of House areas.

We do not have cloakroom facilities so please minimise the items you bring to the theatre. Random bag searches will be in operation.

Food and Drink

Following a successful trial, our new Hospitality team are delighted to now offer ice cream, sorbet and a select bar service, including tea and coffee, to ticket holders during show times. Our welcome team at our main entrance will be happy to direct you to your nearest bar. Ideally, we would appreciate contactless payment, however our bar will be happy to accept payment by card and cash. Some mobile sales points may be cash only.

You are welcome to remove your face covering whilst eating and drinking, but please ensure you put it back on as soon as you have finished.

We are continuing to develop a food service to offer at future shows and will keep you updated. In the meantime, please consider our local food establishments, we know they will appreciate your support as much as we do. Any food or snacks you may bring with you should be consumed in the foyers before taking your seat in the auditorium.

Hand sanitising stations are positioned throughout the public spaces for audience members to use and we ask that you do so frequently
