Make, rehearse and perform an original musical!

Work with professional theatre-makers to produce your own musical play and perform it to an audience! This is a chance to explore acting, singing, and movement while making friends and learning more about the Theatre Royal Plymouth.


 

Make a Play in a Day!

The Hare and the Tortoise

5–7 years

Aesop was a storyteller in Ancient Greece more than 2500 years ago—but the brilliant stories with a message he told about animals have been famous ever since—and have been the inspiration for TRP’s Easter Academies in recent year!

This year, we are going to challenge the group to learn, rehearse and perform The Hare & The Tortoise IN JUST A DAY!

Greece Lightning!

8–11 years

Greece Lightning! tells the history of the Games in Ancient Greece – and then shows what happens when the mischievous Greek gods turn up rather unexpectedly for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020…!

Important Information

This workshop will be held at our Production and Learning Centre at TR2, 12 Neptune Park, Cattedown, Plymouth, PL4 0SJ. NOT the theatre in the city centre. The workshop will run from 10am–3.30pm.

Performance Information

At the end of the day, at 3pm, there will be a performance for friends and families to attend. Please arrive by 2.50pm to make sure we start promptly at 3pm! Due to our Safeguarding Policy, we ask that audience members refrain from filming or taking photos of the performance.
