IdeasLAB Application Form

IdeasLAB is Theatre Royal Plymouth’s platform for the sharing and development of new work, taking place once per season for Southwest Based artists/companies.

If successful, you will create a 15-minute piece of new work to share as a part of a curated evening on Saturday 25th March, 8pm in the Lab, and you will receive £100.00 upon completion of the project as an acknowledgement of the performance.

Audience members will be given the opportunity to reflect and feedback on your work. At the end of the process, you will meet with a member of the Artist Development team to discuss the feedback which can assist the future development of your piece.

Please tell us about any technical requirements you may have, bearing in mind that this is an early stage, work-in-progress sharing, with technical and turnaround time being limited. Please note, set props and costume will not be provided.
If your project is selected there will be opportunity to be supported by our Artist Mentorship Team at TRP. Would you like to receive support? If so, please specify in which area. For example, dramaturgy/choreography/direction.
If your project is selected for IdeasLAB, you will be offered up to 3 days development time. Please indicate your preference for what development time/days you would like on the following dates: Monday 20th February 2022 – Friday 24th March 2023. (Development time in our spaces is optional, don’t worry if these don’t work for you.)*
Please tell us about any access requirements you may have. For example, 'I need time to respond to emails/I need yellow paper for any printed literature'.*
