Virtual Voices Choir
Wednesdays 19:00 – 20:30 at TR2 | £45 per term

Voices is the Theatre Royal Plymouth’s community choir who come together every Wednesday evening to sing songs of varying genres and styles. New members are always welcome – no previous experience is necessary, and you don’t have to be able to read music. This term the sessions will take place online. With the hope of coming back together again in the new year.
Playwriting with Down Stage Write at TR2
Saturdays 14:00 – 16:00 at TR2 | £35 per term
The term is 5 weeks long from week commencing Sat 07 Nov
Approach writing in a number of different ways to find your own writing identity.
An introduction to playwriting: Over five weeks, this course will give writers and those interested in writing a chance to explore the craft in a supportive group setting, guided by Devon and Cornwall based company, Down Stage Write. The group will meet once a week for the duration of the course, with each session covering a different facet of playwriting. These sessions will include: Character, Structure, Dialogue, Redrafting and Writing short plays.
At the end of the course, participants will be invited to submit an excerpt of writing for detailed feedback from Down Stage Write. Down Stage Write is a theatre company committed to providing development and production opportunities for Devon and Cornwall based Writers. All courses adhere to governmental social distancing guidelines. Our Production and Learning Centre, TR2 is COVID secure. Places on in-person courses are strictly limited to 15 participants, so book quickly to avoid disappointment. Should Plymouth go into a local lockdown or we are unable to use the building because of a Covid-19 case on-site, sessions will revert to online delivery. In the current climate, all our course are non- refundable.
