People’s Company Platform Event: Performer Callout

The People’s Company are looking to showcase local emerging local writers and performers for a new platform event that will be staged in the Drum Theatre, Theatre Royal Plymouth in July this year.

Looking to platform writers of all ages, this event will provide an opportunity for five scripts to be developed with support from writers Babs Horton, Laura Horton and Mich Sanderson.

The chosen scripts will be rehearsed with a company of actors over June, in collaboration with director Stephanie Kempson and Assistant Director Claire Duttson.

We are looking for performers from all walks of life that represent the people of Plymouth – if you’ve got a passion for performing, or are looking to try something new, we want to hear from you!

This is a fantastic development opportunity to receive mentoring from a professional director and playwrights who will support you to develop your skills as an actor and guide you through working with a team of creatives in a professional and theatrical setting.

This is a voluntary opportunity for local community-based talent to perform new writing in the Drum Theatre and no fee will be attached.
