About the show:
This is a show about sadness, told with live music, energy, colour and light. Whisking us from the local swimming pool to the snowy plains of Greenland via outer space and Medieval England, The Sad Club asks what stops us from being happy and how we might break through those barriers.
This is a musical about depression and anxiety. It’s a collection of monologues, songs and duologues from all over time and space exploring what about living in this world stops us from being happy and how we might go about tackling those problems. The Sad Club will play in the Drum Theatre from the 24th -26th August 2023
Audition details:
Auditions will be held on the 15th, 18th and 21st June. ‘The Sad Club’ production is for young people aged 14-20 years old.
You will take part in a group workshop lasting approximately 1 hour. We will then see everyone individually and where we will ask you to perform a short monologue which you will find here!
