“Jesus, what are we doing here?”

“Figuring stuff out, like good couples do. Apparently.”

Are some relationships not worth saving? Set in an experimental medical facility where couples are encouraged to take out their frustrations on each other physically, Safety Zone looks at the ways in which violence can manifest itself in our everyday lives, and where we draw the line with the people we love.

Originally performed in February 2023 at the Golden Goose Theatre, new writing theatre company Bread Bin presents a one-night rehearsed reading of a new work in progress dark comedy from emerging Plymouth–based playwright James Pickthall. There will also be an informal post-show Q&A in the ground floor front of house bar.
