Birds and Bees is a laugh-out-loud story about all the questions you always wanted to ask in school, but never got a chance to!

Award-winning writer Charlie Josephine’s (I, JOAN) brand new play is a fresh, funny and moving look at the nature of teenage relationships today.

When intimate photos of the school’s hottest couple are leaked online, everything kicks off amongst the students.

Aaron and Leilah end up in detention after disrupting the school’s ‘special assembly’ and find themselves stuck with Maisy, a super uptight school prefect, and Billy, who’s queer and proud.

Despite their differences the one thing they all have in common is: despite always being online, they all feel invisible.

What follows is a Breakfast Club-style combination of confrontation, debate, and hilarity.

Exploring identity, consent and sex positivity, Birds and Bees is funny, poignant, and refreshingly unpatronising.
