There’s trouble out on the ranch…
The wild west is a hostile, lonely place – rife with injustice and driven by the need to control.
What do you do when someone tries to build a railroad through your family?
Can you slam a saloon door in your dad’s face?
Can a cowboy save you from self destruction?
And why can’t it be as simple as a good ol line dance?
Emma Baskeyfied’s new autobiographical show Cut Out is inspired by classic westerns using visual storytelling, multi-operator puppetry and cowboy stories to examine the complexity of family life & explore what happens when resolution is not as easy as a shootout and riding off into the sunset. Yee-Haw.
Please note, this show will be performed to a non-socially distanced audience.
This production contains strong language and potentially upsetting scenes around the themes of mental ill-health
A vibrant celebration of the most engaging work being made in the South West.
Platform offers audiences the opportunity to see new and original theatre, made by the local artists and companies that we’re most excited about. This September we showcase three new shows, performed in The Drum, made by the Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Lab Associates.
Our Lab Associates scheme offers South West based companies/artists a year-long attachment to TRP. We are delighted to be collaborating with this talented cohort of local theatre-makers.
