by Jade Campbell

Have you ever wanted to know what its like to fight with someone twice your size and submit them? Jade and Polly have. Join them on their journey into the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, why one left and chose to fight with her words and the other stayed to fight with her body, why they don’t join anyone on the picket line and why they feel akin to the Suffragettes.

If you’re tired of fighting gender inequality and enjoy watching women wrestle fused with The Matrix, then you’ll love Suffrajitsu!

You’ll leave feeling impassioned and hopeful and may even want to sign up to a BJJ class near you! If people can’t sort it out and stop abuse towards women, then is it up to us to fight and be warriors ourselves?

The Lab is Theatre Royal Plymouth’s space for bold and new ideas created by theatre makers based in the South West, made with support from TRP.
