With Flying Colours is a four year project funded by Arts Council England and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. The project is run by the Plymouth Culture Education Partnership, a strategic collaboration between cultural, educational, community and youth organisations across the city, and supported by Theatre Royal Plymouth.
With Flying Colours is currently working with 11 schools across Plymouth, with a team of delivery partners from across the city co-creating performances with young people and their teachers. It’s part of the wider national effort to bring exciting cultural opportunities to young people in targeted areas across England.
Each school has been paired with a creative delivery partner, who they will be working with throughout the year to explore the theme ‘Our World’. They will go on trips to the theatre, learn about creative career paths, and discover more about the cultural offer in Plymouth.
Alongside this, With Flying Colours youth steering group, Co-Pilots, are guiding the project and artistic decision making.
The project will culminate in a city-wide festival in June 2023.
