TRP has been working with Arts University Plymouth on a fictional brief to redesign our café. Forty first year BA (Hons) Interior Design & Styling students presented their imaginative designs to a panel of experts. These were then whittled down to six designs which were displayed front of house with Woodie Rowe’s design being selected as the winner. Woodie has won a pair of tickets to a TRP show with access to our Members Lounge.

TRP is committed to supporting local creatives and collaborations such as this are vital in futureproofing the industry. The ‘pretend project’ has played an important part of the students’ portfolio development and skill-building and allowed them to put what they have learnt in their course so far, into practice.

Cathryn Bishop, Course Leader BA (Hons) Interior Design & Styling at Arts University Plymouth said: “We’re so grateful to all the team at TRP who’ve facilitated this project. The students have gained such valuable industry feedback, pitched to real clients and worked with the restrictions of a listed building. We’ve been so impressed by the diversity of design ideas and this project has really helped set them up for their next two years of study.”
