Covid-Safe Environment

Covid-19 Safety: By accepting our Terms & Conditions, you are confirming, along with our standard Terms & Condition that you agree not to visit TRP if:

  • You are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms, or have done so in the previous 14 days
  • You’ve been in contact with anyone who has displayed Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days
  • You’ve arrived into the UK in the last 14 days and are not covered by the self-isolation exemption rules
  • You’ve been instructed to self-isolate

If you develop Covid-19 symptoms simply call our Box Office before 11am on the day of the show (Tel: 01752 267222) and we will exchange your ticket for another performance or a gift voucher for another production so you can come back when you’re well enough to do so, or you can have a refund. All fees are waived for this service.

We will only share the details of the primary booker with NHS Test and Trace (or equivalent) only if asked to by a relevant authority and under the obligations of the government’s Covid-19 regulations.

Please note that the following terms and conditions apply when making your booking online, in person, or by phone:

For up-to-date information about the content of all shows we advise customers to check our website, which is regularly updated with helpful information.

Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd reserves the right to alter advertised programme information, including cast, without prior notice. Concessions are available for some performances and are subject to availability.

In order to ensure the best possible experience for our audiences and actors, some seats in The Lyric auditorium are not offered for sale until seats towards the front are sold. If you have any specific access requirements, please do contact our Box Office. We always recommend booking early to secure the best seats at the best prices, as prices are subject to change as the theatre fills.

Our Box Office are available and happy to advise about content or seating. Some performances or events may have age restrictions, please check for any restrictions prior to purchasing your tickets.

If an event is cancelled or postponed, we will do our best to inform you of these changes using the mandatory contact details provided when you make your booking. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check if the event is going ahead.

If an event is cancelled, the value of tickets (excluding postage fee) will be refunded to the original payment method.

Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd reserves the right to limit the number of tickets on sale to individuals.

Only one concession applies per ticket. Proof of eligibility may be requested at time of purchase and/or on the day of the performance. Please inform our Box Office if you are entitled to a concession at the time of booking, as concessionary rates can not be applied retrospectively.

Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd reserves the right to promote special ticket offers in addition to those published in our season brochures or on our website. These can not be applied retrospectively, may be subject to limited availability and can be withdrawn at any time.


Your Tickets

Tickets issued by Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd are sold subject to the following terms and conditions of sale:

Tickets are non-transferable and may not be sold on for commercial gain.

Gift Vouchers are non-refundable once issued, and can be redeemed towards tickets, memberships and workshops. Vouchers purchased after 5th May 2020 expire after 3 years. Vouchers purchased before this date expire after 2 years from the purchase date. Vouchers can be used immediately and, in terms of ticket purchases, towards any production currently on sale, even if the performance date is later than your voucher expiry.

Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd accepts no liability for lost, stolen or damaged tickets.

Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded. Tickets may be exchanged, subject to availability, for an alternative performance of the same show. Tickets may be accepted for resale, however we cannot guarantee that all tickets will be resold. A fee will be charged for this service.

Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd takes no responsibility for tickets or services purchased via an agency or third party, including individuals purchasing on behalf of a group. Only tickets purchased from our Box Office or our approved agents are valid for admission to a performance or event.

Please note that Theatre Royal Plymouth is the ticket agent for Bath Theatre Royal Productions Ltd. and Everyman Productions Ltd. (‘the producers’) who are staging the performances of The Dresser from Tuesday 19th – Saturday 23rd October 2021; for ATG Productions Ltd. (‘the producer’) who is staging the performances of 9 to 5 The Musical from Tuesday 30th November – Saturday 4th December 2021; for Jamie Wilson Productions Limited (‘the producer’) who is staging the performances of White Christmas from Tuesday 7th – Saturday 11th December 2021; for Crossroads Pantomimes (‘the producer’) who is staging the performances of Aladdin from 17th December 2021 – 15th January 2022 and for Littlestar Services Europe Limited (‘the producer’) who is staging the performances of Mamma Mia! from 18th January – 5th February 2022.


Your Visit

The following terms and conditions apply when you visit Theatre Royal Plymouth or the Learning and Production centre at TR2:

By entering our venues you give your consent to being photographed or filmed as a member of the audience or patron at Theatre Royal Plymouth. This may be used for future promotional activity.

Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. In the interest of all our patrons, please note that children and school groups are the responsibility of their parent, guardians, teachers or carers, who should ensure appropriate behaviour in all areas of the building.

Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited in all areas of the premises, including the terrace on our second floor.

Neither the producer nor Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd accept responsibility for personal property brought on to the premises.

CCTV is in operation throughout Theatre Royal Plymouth for the purpose of crime prevention and detection.

Security searches may be carried out at certain performances and events.


Your Event

When attending any of our events, please note that the following terms and conditions apply across all of our auditoria:

Theatre is a shared live experience so please show consideration to those on stage as well as your fellow audience members when attending an event in our auditoria.

Theatre Royal Plymouth Ltd reserves the right to refuse the ticket holder admission to the premises, change programme details without notice or cancel performances, and provide alternative seats to those specified on the tickets.

Whilst we try our best to admit latecomers during a suitable break in the performance, late admission cannot always be guaranteed.

The use of cameras, recording equipment and mobile telephones is strictly prohibited in the auditoria. Any exceptions to this will be made clear on the day of the performance.

You are welcome to finish your alcoholic, soft and hot drinks in the Theatre Royal Plymouth auditoria. Please inform your server who will provide you with a biodegradable, compostable cup for this purpose. Please note, glass and china are not permitted in the auditoria as this contravenes licensing regulations.
