Are you passionate about theatre and interested in taking a closer look? Maybe you love live performance, enjoy crafting an opinion on what you’ve seen, and sharing it with others in a written review, or on social media?
If the answer is yes, Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Bloggers and Critics Scheme could be for you!

Following the scheme’s success in 2023, it returns this year, with TRP offering the opportunity for a small group of people who’d like to learn more about theatre and would embrace the chance to practise writing reviews and constructing online content.
You’ll have the chance to review shows, write blog posts about your experiences and create additional content. You don’t need to have any previous experience in these areas, just enthusiasm for live performance and an interest in how to craft an opinion and share it with others.

During the programme, which will run from April to October, you will have the chance to attend a combination of events, talks, workshops and performances that will help you to develop your writing and content creation skills and build your confidence.
These may include:
- attending press nights and reviewing shows
- a workshop with local theatre bloggers and critics
- sessions on creating online content for Theatre Royal Plymouth
- a tour of Theatre Royal Plymouth and TR2, its production and learning centre
- guest speakers from TRP, based on your interests
