As excitement builds for tonight’s opening of Dick Whittington, Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) has shared the magical news that next year’s pantomime will be the timeless fairytale favourite, Cinderella.
Packed with all the traditional pantomime ingredients TRP audiences expect, one of the world’s best-loved pantomimes, Cinderella will feature laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, plenty of boos and hisses and beautiful costumes from The London Palladium.
Cinderella will be produced by the world’s biggest pantomime producer, and the team behind this year’s production of Dick Whittington, Crossroads Pantomimes.
Join Cinders as she goes from rags to riches, outwits her very wicked sisters and meets her Prince Charming.
Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Chief Executive and Executive Producer, James Mackenzie-Blackman, said: “We are thrilled to open Dick Whittington tonight and to reveal that Cinderella will follow in its footsteps next year. Our pantomime is a highlight of the festive season for so many families, and we can’t wait to bring this magical story to life with all the laughter and joy our audiences expect.”
This year’s pantomime, Dick Whittington, runs until 10 January 2026, featuring television, recording, musical theatre and pantomime star Shane Richie as Dick Whittington, Plymouth panto favourite Samuel Holmes as the Spirit of Bow Bells, musical theatre stars Anne Smith as Queen Rat, Emily Beth Harrington as Alice Fitzwarren, Kira McPherson as Kitty Cat, and panto dame Iain Stuart Robertson as Sarah, The Cook.
