Somewhere there’s a photo of two little angels.
Queenie and Effie.
Best friends.
Chalk and Cheese.
It was taken the day Effie said she’d teach Queenie to fly.
It was when Queenie still believed in miracles.
Queenie was all dimples and ringlets.
Effie had two black eyes and missing teeth from when she hit the floor.
They were going to be friends forever. Then Queenie disappeared without trace when they were fifteen.

Fifty years later, Effie makes a startling discovery about Queenie that blows her world apart. This is a dark comedy about fractured innocence, the power of female friendship and the restorative power of hope.
