We are delighted to announce that we will, once again, be searching for two teams of 8 children to take part in this year’s Theatre Royal Plymouth pantomime, Cinderella.
In order to meet as many young people as possible, we will be holding our auditions in two stages.
The first round, on Sun 04 Oct OR Mon 05 Oct 2026, will be open calls.
Following this round, we will invite a small group of auditionees back to meet the production’s choreographer on Sun 18 Oct 2026.
Audition Details
First Round
When?
Sun 04 Oct 2026 at TR2 Production & Learning Centre, 12 Neptune Park, Plymouth, PL4 0SJ.
Auditions will start at 10am. Please be prepared to stay until 12pm.
OR
Mon 05 Oct 2026 at TR2 Production & Learning Centre, 12 Neptune Park, Plymouth, PL4 0SJ.
Auditions will start at 4pm. Please be prepared to stay until 6pm.
Final Audition
The final audition, for those selected, will be Sun 18 Oct 10am-1pm at TR2.
Casting requirements
These auditions are open for children who can meet the following requirements:
- You must be in Key Stage 2 (Primary School Years 3-6)
- You must be no taller than 4 feet 8 inches and will be measured, in bare feet, on arrival.
- You must be competent in modern dance and will be taught a routine, as part of your audition, on the day.
- You must be available for rehearsals w/c 23 Nov at TR2.
- You must be available every day from 30 Nov 2026 to 03 Jan 2027 for technical rehearsals and performances.
- You must live within a 20-mile radius of Theatre Royal Plymouth

Important Info
If you take part in this show, your meals on show days will be provided. Travel bursaries are available to support travel expenses.
We are particularly keen to meet young people who have never been involved in our pantomimes before, and we encourage young performers from all backgrounds to audition.
Taking part in the auditions and the show is free of charge.

Please complete and send your registration form in by Tue 29 Sep 5pm. You will then be given an arrival time for your first-round audition.
Licence Application Evening
If chosen for the ensemble, all parents and children must attend a meeting on Mon 19 Oct 4pm-6pm to complete the required paperwork for the performance licence and to place the children in their teams.
