FURTHER CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR CINDERELLA AT THEATRE ROYAL PLYMOUTH
Theatre Royal Plymouth and Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, have previously announced that pop icon and stage star Will Young and broadcaster, film and theatre star Ross King MBE will lead this year’s spectacular production of Cinderella, running from Friday 04 December 2026 to Sunday 03 January 2027.
Will Young will star as The Fairy Godfather, while Ross King will play the much-loved Buttons, bringing together two much-loved entertainers for what promises to be a magical festive season in Plymouth.
It has been announced that joining the cast is musical theatre’s Eve Shanu-Wilson in the title role, Michael O’Reilly, who is returning to his roots for the festive season as Prince Charming, and Daniel Norford who will star as Dandini.
The cast met for the first time recently at Saltram House to give us a glimpse of the magic that awaits this festive season.
Eve Shanu-Wilson recently starred as Glinda in the international tour of Wicked, having previously appeared in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera as Alternate Christine Daaé after first joining the company as Ensemble and Understudy Christine Daaé. A graduate of the Guildford School of Acting, her theatre credits also include Sweet Smell of Success, Curtains, and concert performances in Children of Eden and Roles We’ll Never Play: Emerging Talent. Her screen credits include Amazon Prime’s Hanna.
Cornwall-born Michael O’Reilly, who grew up in Callington, is best known for starring as Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing in the West End, on UK tour, and in Paris. His other theatre credits include West Side Story at Curve, Ignition and MAN UP with Frantic Assembly, Lord of the Flies with New Adventures, and A Clockwork Orange, in which he played the title role of Alex. Michael is a graduate of Bird College, where he trained in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.
Daniel Norford trained at East 15 and has an impressive list of stage credits, including The Welkin, All of Us and Small Island at the National Theatre, and Fast at Park Theatre. He played Banzai in Disney’s The Lion King (UK and international tour) and has also appeared in The American Clock, Estate Walls, The Notebook of Trigorin, and Killigrew the Kind in Treasure Island. Daniel has appeared in many productions for Crossroads Pantomimes over the years, delighting audiences up and down the country, and has featured in 4Q, Driftwood, Small Time Revolutionary and Smile, alongside a wide range of commercials, readings, and voiceover work.
Packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients Theatre Royal Plymouth audiences expect, Cinderella features laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses.
Cinderella will play at Theatre Royal Plymouth, from Friday 04 December 2026 to Sunday 03 January 2027.
