“Being part of this year’s produce group has truly meant the world to me. Before joining, the theatre and fashion industries felt so far away, but meeting everyone has finally made me believe that succeeding in this field is actually possible” – Participant 2026 cohort
This year-long project aims to give young people the tools, skills and understanding of all aspects of theatre to help them with future careers and interests. The programme will connect young people directly with theatre departments, creative processes, and live productions. It will also provide structured opportunities to understand programming, audience engagement, and the wider strategic direction of the theatre.
Examples of themes across the year:
- Public Speaking – how to find and use your voice
- Seeing and Reviewing theatre
- Front of House experience
- Creative Communities Programming
- Running a Theatre – Theatre Royal Plymouth leadership
- Marketing and Advocacy – marketing campaigns
- Industry Insight – pathways into theatre careers
