Audition Technique Workshops

Thinking of auditioning for Drama School this year? Need some guidance in preparing for professional auditions?

Designed for young actors, over two evenings our Audition Technique Workshop will hone your acting skills, advise on the best material for you and build your confidence. Led by professional theatre director and TRP Associate Director, John Haidar, our Audition Technique Workshops will leave you feeling prepared and positive walking into your next audition.

Please come to the workshop with two monologues prepared, a contemporary monologue (written after 1960) and a classical monologue (Shakespeare or an Elizabethan/Jacobean playwright). As part of your booking, you will receive an Information Pack with guidance on how to select the best speech for you.

Over the two evenings, you will have one-to-one time to work on your monologues and be directed. You will also take part in group workshops on how to approach texts and prepare for auditions. With plenty of opportunity for questions & discussion, you will gain insight into the drama school application process.

Our Audition Technique Workshops will give you to tools to ensure you deliver your best presentation, every time.

If you have any questions, please contact youngcompany@theatreroyal.com
