Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - Children's Ensemble Auditions

CHILDREN’S ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS

AUDITIONS ON SUNDAY 27TH OCTOBER– REGISTRATION FROM 9.15am

We are delighted to announce that we will, once again, be searching for two teams of 8 children to take part in this year’s pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The auditions will be great fun and a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and learn from a professional choreographer.

When?

• Sunday 27th October 2024
• Registration will take place from 9:15am and auditions will start at 10:00am. Please be prepared to stay until 1pm.

Where?

• TR2 Production & Learning Centre, 12 Neptune Park, Plymouth, PL4 0SJ.

Casting requirements

These auditions are open for children who can meet the following requirements:

• You must be in Key Stage 2 (Primary School Years 3-6).
•  You must be no taller than 4 feet 7 inches and will be measured, in bare feet, on arrival.
• You must be competent in modern dance and will be taught a routine, as part of your audition, on the day. If you wish to know more about the style of dance that happens in our pantomime, please email us here.
• You must be available for the following rehearsals:

Thursday 7^th November 5:00pm-6:30pm
Thursday 21^st November : 5:00pm-6:30pm
Thursday 28^th November : 5:00pm-6:30pm
Sunday 1^st December: 10:00am – 12:00pm

• You must be available, every day from Monday 9^th December – Saturday 11^th January for full company rehearsals and performances.
• You must live within a 20-mile radius of the Theatre Royal Plymouth
• When you take part in this show all your meals on show days will be provided. Travel bursaries are available to support with any travel expenses that are required to take part in the show.
• Taking part in the auditions and the show are all FREE of charge.

We are particularly keen to meet young people who have never been involved in our pantomimes before and we encourage young performers from all backgrounds to come and audition for the pantomime. If this is all new to you, find out about our pre-audition workshop below.

Pre-Audition Workshop – 19^th October at TR2, 10am

Want to find out a bit more about what it is like to audition and if being in a pantomime is for you?

Then come along to our FREE pre-audition workshop where you can get a feeling for the kind of dance steps you might learn in your audition. You will be able to ask any questions so you can feel as prepared as possible for the audition day. This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t auditioned before.

The workshop will run from 10am for approximately 1 hour.
