The Musical Theatre group for 11-18-year-olds, will work a brand new musical number to be performed as part of this large-scale, public performance. Led by professional theatre directors, you will gain a deepened understanding into of the world of musical theatre, try new rehearsal techniques and improve your singing, acting & movement skills.

The Musical Theatre group is open to anyone who is interested in singing and performance, you don’t need to be an experienced singer or have had any dance experience, just a willingness to try new things. This is a brilliant opportunity for young people to experience being part of a new and unique professional production.

Designed to be a safe space for to explore creativity, our sessions are welcoming, dynamic and plenty of fun. Join us this summer!

This holiday activity is part of a professional performance and therefore requires a strong commitment from each young person. You must be available for all dates, including rehearsals and performances, to take part.

This summer marks the 21st birthday of our Production & Learning Centre, TR2. Work created at TR2 has been showcased all over the world and, now the building has come of age, we want to offer you the key to unlock its secrets, reflect on its past, and dream up its future.

Inspired by the tradition of giving a key to celebrate a 21st birthday, and interwoven with William Shakespeare’s great coming-of-age play The Tempest, The Key is an immersive theatre, music and dance experience that will feature a cast of over 100 performers from across our city and region.

We are looking for young people aged 8 – 21 who are interested in all aspects of theatre-making to join this unique opportunity and become part of TR2’s history in this epic one-off performance.
