Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Our Space Productions returns with its signature style of bold visual storytelling and immersive soundscapes, co-created with the Our Space community and a team of professional artists.
The Body Measures Time reimagines Homer’s The Odyssey through three interconnected perspectives exploring separation, survival, identity and the difficult journey home. Drawing on the lived experiences and creative voices of participants from HMP Channings Wood, Our Space Production Group and Armed Forces Production Group, the show production weaves together stories of waiting, release, return and reconnection and asks what it truly means to find your way home.
Developed through weekly devising sessions, the production The Body Measures Time places community at the heart of storytelling, platforming the words, experiences and performances of the company in a powerful and deeply human retelling of an ancient epic.
