Prepare for passion, vodka, and a whole lot of Tolstoy!
Fresh off last year’s completely sold-out production of Sweeney Todd, PGS Theatre Productions makes a triumphant return to The Drum with the ultimate theatrical thrill ride musical: Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
Step into a lush, electro-pop-infused 19th-century Moscow where the lines between the stage and the audience blur, the emotions are turned up to 11, and scandal brews around every corner. Drawing from a scandalously juicy 70-page slice of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace, this sung-through, Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon mixes indie-rock, folk, electronic dance music, and classic Broadway storytelling like you’ve never experienced before.
Follow the young, naive, and hopelessly romantic Natasha as she falls under the spell of the charmingly dangerous seducer Anatole, while the socially awkward, weary Pierre searches for meaning at the bottom of a bottle (and under the glare of a looming, apocalyptic comet).
Last year’s run sold out in a flash, and history has a habit of repeating itself. Grab your tickets, snag a seat in the madness, and join the party before the comet fades into the night!
